Soundtrack to my Life

Thanks for commenting on my blogs everybody! It really made me super happy, you guys really have no idea how much that made me happy. I can't reply with comments so im just going to reply by writing more blogs. I bet you are wondering when I am going to be back but I know that it will be before the end of June. As of right now I am expected to be back on June 16th but if that does not go my way then no matter what I will for sure be back on July 1st. So that’s not too bad because I get to come home every Saturday and I get some time tomorrow to leave so I can even stop home and see some people! I will get to use my parents phone and when I get to I am going to call you at like 12 or 12:30 which is perfect because im pretty sure that’s when you get out of school. You obviously know who you are to which I am referring to. But I cannot wait till tomorrow and I cannot wait till every Saturday because I get to come home! The place I am at is actually really not bad at all. It is getting more fun everyday and once I fully get used to it I will be having the time of my life and time will fly by. I get to leave and go places with the group and I just get to do a bunch of different things everyday, I am always busy here. I hate being away from my family and friends but this is the best thing that could’ve happened to me. It is something that I needed and im glad that God brought me here. But like I said I will call you tomorrow and hopefully I will see you for like an hour!

“Never Forget the Ones you Love.”

This is a saying that has a lot of meaning to me. It has a lot of meaning to me for a few reasons. The main reason is because I have lost someone very close to me in the past. In 2007 I had one of my very close friends pass away unfortunately. It was something in my life that affected me a ton, it is crazy to just wake up one day and know that you will never see that person ever again no matter how much you want to. He was an incredible person who was full of love and joy no matter what. I know that he is in a better place now though which puts me at ease. This quote has also had an impact on my life within this last year. It helped me comfort somebody very close to me and I would tell them this saying but now the tables have turned. I have people in my life that I would see everyday and I would spend every second with these people. It makes me sad to think about how most of my friends from high school I will most likely not see ever again. But there is one person who I know will always be there no matter what. I can tell this person anything and they will always listen and not judge me or anything. They see me as the person that I truly am and they would not change a thing about me. That is something that I admire more than anything. Focus on what you need to do and never forget the ones you love. Missing you…

Keep Ya Head Up

The world is constantly changing all of the time whether it be people or places. This has been a rough and crazy year for me. I was planning on just being another normal kid that has went to Avon Lake schools for all of my remaining years. But recently I have realized that God has a different plan for me. This whole year I have been having the worst case of “senioritis” but that hasn’t stopped me from keeping my focus on what I know I want to do after I graduate high school. I was planning on graduating from Avon Lake and then attending Bowling Green or some other university but I can not do that anymore. Although my life has taken an unexpected turn I know that it is for the best. I miss all of my friends and everybody in this Journalism class and I hope I get to see everybody soon. But now I am probably going to just attend LCCC for a year and then transfer to another school. I haven’t been able to talk to anybody lately so I really hope that people comment on this blog. God has a plan for everybody one way or another and all you need to do is just trust that whatever he has planned for you is for the best, he is always with you no matter where you go and you can always talk to him, all you have to do is open your ears and listen. But in the words of Tupac Amaru Shakur just remember to always keep ya head up.

Spring Fever

Spring time is just around the corner! I cannot wait for the weather to be good everyday. I am one of those people that do not like the winter, I hate the cold weather. I have been counting down the days for spring time to come and it is just about finally here. The best part about spring time is that you have so many options of things to do. Since the weather is good there is a lot of things for people to do outside. You can go watch baseball games and other sporting events. Or you can even play some outside sports. I know that im going to be playing basketball a lot this spring and summer because that is what I usually do when it is nice out. Besides playing sports outside there is another big advantage to the good weather and that is making money. For me, I will be doing yard work like mulching peoples yard’s or cutting people’s lawns to make some extra money. Not only do you get to make money but you get to get some good exercise and maybe even a tan. If you do not feel like getting a tan by doing work you can be like most other people and go to the beach since it is going to be nice enough outside for you do to that. And if the water is warm enough you can go swimming too. If not then you will just have to wait for the summer time.

Insidious

Are you one of the people that have been waiting to see a good scary movie again? Well I have been and let me tell you that “Insidious” takes the cake. I recently just saw it in theatres and it was one of the scariest movies that I have seen in a long time. It is from the creators of “Paranormal Activity” and “Saw”. It is full of horror and excitement that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat. It begins with how this couples son suddenly doesn’t wake up from his sleep and the doctors cannot figure out what is wrong with him because his brain seems to be functioning just fine. As they dig deeper they come to realize that it is not their house that has been haunting them but it is their son that is actually haunted. There are a lot of spirits that are floating around their house and they are actually lost souls that want to steal the body of the little boy so they can be alive once again. This boys father actually has to enter into a dream world in order to rescue his son and bring him back to life. While he is in this dream world searching for his son he has to fight off evil spirits and make it out of the dream world alive. I highly recommend watching this film, it is one of my new favorite scary movies now. I actually cannot think of another movie that compares to this movies scariness.

Girl with stars tattooed on her face

Has anyone seen or read the article about the girl that got all of those stars tattooed on her face? It is actually a somewhat sad story. But unfortunately I do not have any sympathy for this girl because she was under the influence of alcohol while she was getting the tattoo so I believe that it is her own fault and not the artists fault. This 18 year old girl claims that she only told the artist to tattoo three stars near her left eye but the artist claims that she specifically told him to put all 56 starts on her face and that during the tattoo the girl was periodically looking in the mirror to see if she liked the tattoo. The artist stated that the girl looked at the tattoo several times and liked it every time and also at the end of the tattoo before she walked out of the doors she said that she liked what the artist did and she thought it was worth the money that she spent. The 18 year old is trying to sue the man for this so he will have to pay for the procedure to remove the tattoos but he already said that he would help her pay for half of the cost to remove them. The girl did not think the tattoo looked bad until she got home for her father and boyfriend to freak out about when they saw it for the first time. Lastly, I have no sympathy for people who do stupid things while they are drunk.

What is there to do in boring Avon Lake???????

What is there to do in Avon Lake? The answer is nothing. Everyday kids get out of school just to be as bored as they were while they were in school. Of course there is always Crocker Park which has restaurants and clothing stores to walk around in but you can only do that for so long before you want to rip your hair out. I am going to be blatantly honest, Avon Lake sucks. I personally do not like Avon Lake at all. They have a very good school system and the kids that go to the school are fun to be around but there is never anything to do. One way to stay busy in Avon Lake is if you play sports because you have practice everyday after school and you have games to go to. The only other way I can think of how to stay busy while living in Avon Lake is if you have a job or even two. I cannot wait to go off to college by myself and just meet a whole new group of people to hang around with because I am so tired of living in Avon Lake. If you have lived your entire life in Avon Lake like I have then I’m sure you feel my pain. If I had any advice to give to the people who want to move to Avon lake I would tell to just not even do it because you will regret it just like everyone else does.

Is UFC barbaric?

Do you think UFC is barbaric? Most people who watch UFC for their first couple times think it is barbaric. I disagree because not only do the fighters wear gloves but there is a referee there to stop the fight at any time.  There is also many rules in UFC that most people don’t even know about. For example after UFC 14 kicks to a downed opponent, hair pulling, fish hooking, and head butting became illegal. If there was no referee there then UFC would be more barbaric and dangerous but since there is a referee there then if an opponent is suffering to much damage the referee can stop the fight.

To be a UFC fighter it takes a lot of training and skill, some people who watch it just think that it is two people just beating up on each other. Watching UFC is like watching a chess match, it is very technical and there is a lot more to it than people know about. There is many different styles of fighting incorporated into UFC that take years of training to master. For example there is Muy Tai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, wrestling and many more. Some fighters even go to different countries to train in different forms of mixed martial arts so they can come back to the United States and show off how much they have perfected they’re fighting abilities. I do not have any desire to become a UFC fighter I just admire it very much.

Fastest knockouts in UFC history

There has been some very impressive knockouts in UFC history but none quite compare to my personal favorite knockout which was betwen James Irvin and Houston Alexander. The fight started off with both fighters swinging for the fences, getting repeated takedowns and submission attempts but neither of them were successful with ending the fight. In the second round right when the bell rang Irvin sprinted towards Alexander and leaped into the air striking Alexander with a flying knee to the head which of course knocked him out instantly. This is recorded to be the fastest knockout that has ever been in the UFC, the fight only lasting 8 whole seconds. This knockout earned Irvin with fight of the night, knockout of the night, and it also earned him a title shot against Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight title. When Irvin finally got to fight Silva for the title this fight only lasted a little bit longer than Irvin's fight with Alexander. Unfortunately Irvin got knocked out in the first round in only 22 seconds by a left hook which sent him to the mat instantly. Anderson Silva went on to win every fight he has had since that fight with James Irvin and it really made Irvin look as if he was just a stepping stone for Silva, like the UFC set Silva up for a victory. Whether the UFC used Irvin as a stepping stone or not it was still a good show of performace by James Irvin and Anderson Silva during the fight at UFC Fight Night 14.

On Saturday, February 5th thousands of people will gather to the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for one of the biggest fight cards in UFC history. In the Middle weight division there will be sparks flying between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort, Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin, and lastly Jon Jones and Ryan Bader. The whole world is excited to watch all of these superstars compete against eachother but the world is especially excited to watch the two best pound for pound fighters in the world go head to head in the octagon, Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort. Ever since Anderson Silva joined the UFC he has been on a 12 fight win streak, 8 of those being title defenses. If Vitor Belfort wants any chance of beating Anderson Silva he better be training as hard as he possibly can because Anderson Silva is coming to defend his title once again inside the octagon. Every fight that Anderson Silva has had since his debut in the UFC has been a victory for him, 7 of those fights being by way of knockout. The only fight that he had that did not end by a knockout was against Patrick Cote which went to a 5 round unanimous decision. Lastly, I think that the UFC is the fastest growing sport in the world and in the next 5 years it will be more popular than football in my opinion and the UFC will have more viewers then the superbowl.
